Painting and drawing give me a better understanding of my surroundings. I have lived up and down the East Coast from Florida to Virginia and Maine. In each new place the pursuit of visual expression is one of the constants in the midst of change. I paint and draw landscapes and the animals and people who inhabit them. Painting and drawing inform my life.                            

   My mediums are acrylic and gouache. I work on canvas, wood panel and paper.

    I studied drawing and design at Florida State University. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a BA from the College of Humanities. My additional painting studies include: Gouache painting with Diane Sophrin in Vermont, and painting with Janet Manyan at the Maine College of Art Continuing Studies Program in Portland Me.
